Photograph; Men and boys on a boating trip, close to the blowhole in the Catlins.
The daytrippers are very well dressed in suits with collars and ties, perhaps they were on their way to attend a function.

Front, Dave Mcland [McLelland?], Bert Harle, D Frazer [Fraser?], Teddy Paterson.
